Azerbaijan Central Bank and IMF Discuss Economic Stability and Growth

Baku: Vugar Ahmadov, Executive Director of Azerbaijan's Central Bank, engaged in discussions with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) led by Anna Bordon, who heads the IMF mission to Azerbaijan. The meeting took place during the IMF team's visit to the country, the Central Bank reported on X.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the dialogue centered on assessing how global economic and financial market developments are influencing Azerbaijan's economy. Key topics included macroeconomic and financial stability, as well as trends in economic growth and inflation forecasts.

Additionally, both parties explored initiatives aimed at enhancing the transmission of monetary policy and developing the interbank market. Discussions also encompassed the central bank's primary monetary policy and financial stability objectives for the current year and the medium term.
