Chief of General Staff Visits Key Military Facilities in Belarus

Minsk: The First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, has continued his official visit to Belarus, exploring various military facilities accompanied by his delegation, the Ministry of Defense informed APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation visited an air base belonging to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and a separate airborne assault brigade. During these visits, the delegation received briefings on the military and special-purpose equipment utilized by the Special Operations Forces and the electronic warfare units.

As part of the visit programme, Colonel General Karim Valiyev also inspected the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Application and Training Centre. The delegation was briefed on the Centre's activities, learning about the training of UAS operators and the simulators employed in their training. Additionally, the delegation visited an enterprise of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

During their time in Minsk, the Azerbaijani delegation paid homage to the memory of Hero of the Soviet Union Najafgulu Rafiyev by visiting his bust and laying a wreath at the monument, showing their respect and reverence for his legacy.
