Azerbaijan Commemorates Khojaly Genocide Victims with Nationwide Moment of Silence


Baku: Today, at 17:00, Azerbaijan paused to observe a moment of silence in honor of the victims of the Khojaly genocide. This act of remembrance was marked by the halting of both pedestrian and vehicular movement across the country.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the one-minute pause was signaled by the blowing of whistles on vehicles, ships in Baku Bay, and surface trains. This nationwide gesture served as a poignant reminder of the tragedy that took place, highlighting Azerbaijan’s commitment to remembering those who lost their lives in the genocide.
