Baku: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan has extended its congratulations to Trkiye for being selected as the host country for the 31st session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP31), APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijan expressed its support through a post on X, congratulating Trkiye on its selection and also congratulating Australia on being chosen as the President of Negotiations for COP31.

The post further emphasized Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting the event, highlighting its role as the President of COP29. Azerbaijan pledged to spare no effort in ensuring the successful implementation of COP31. The Ministry expressed confidence that the conference would contribute significantly to global efforts in combating climate change.
