Istanbul: A delegation led by Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has traveled to Istanbul to participate in the meeting held on the establishment of the Union of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Turkic States (T€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“RKSAI), the Chamber of Accounts told APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Metin Yener, President of the Turkish Court of Accounts, spoke at the opening of the meeting, highlighting that the growing political and economic influence of the Turkic world increases the responsibility of supreme audit institutions, as well as the importance of joint audits. Metin Yener expressed confidence that cooperation among the audit institutions of countries with a shared past, roots, and values will be further strengthened within the framework of the newly established Union. Following his remarks, the heads of the supreme audit institutions participating in the event delivered their speeches.
Vugar Gulmammadov, in his address, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Turkish Court of Accounts for organizing the meeting. He noted that the Organization of Turkic States is not only a platform for cultural and economic cooperation but also an emerging center of power on the global stage. The Chairman emphasized that Turkic-speaking countries share the same geography, culture, and history, and strengthening mutual experience exchange is a main priority. He also highlighted several important areas for the organization’s activities to the meeting participants.
The event concluded with the establishment of the Union of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Turkic States (T€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“RKSAI), with participation from the heads of the supreme audit institutions of Trkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The Founding Declaration of the new institution was signed by the heads of the supreme audit institutions of the five countries.
