Beijing: The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, is currently on a working visit to the People's Republic of China to participate in the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, as confirmed by the MFA to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Hasanov took the opportunity to visit the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) production facility. During this visit, he held discussions with Chen Shaoyang, the Director and General Manager of CASIC, and reviewed various defense systems that the corporation manufactures.

Additionally, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov engaged in a meeting with Admiral Dong Jun, the Minister of National Defense of the People's Republic of China. Their discussions focused on the current state and future potential of military collaboration between Azerbaijan and China. Key areas of interest included military, military-technical, and military education cooperation, along with broader topics of international security and stability. The meeting also touched on a number of other mutual interests between the two nations.
