Baku:Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has expressed his condolences to his Kazakh counterpart, Lieutenant General Dauren Kossanov.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the condolence message was sent following a tragic incident in which nine servicemen lost their lives after being swept out to sea during exercises in the Caspian Sea. One serviceman was injured, and seven others remain missing.

In his letter, Colonel General Hasanov conveyed his deep sorrow over the loss of lives and extended his sympathies to the families of the deceased. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured serviceman and expressed hope for successful outcomes in the ongoing search and rescue operations.
