Baku:Preparatory training for the 'Power of Unity - 2026' joint military exercise has taken place, as reported by Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the training was held at the Boyuk Zira training area within Azerbaijan's maritime territory in the Caspian Sea. Personnel from three countries participated, involving patrol and amphibious landing vessels from the Azerbaijan Navy.

The training encompassed various operational tasks, such as protecting maritime and coastal infrastructure, liberating a vessel and hostages from terrorists, mine clearance, deploying naval landing forces onto an island, destroying a terrorist base, and providing initial medical assistance and evacuation for an injured individual.

The training aims to promote experience exchange among the armed forces of friendly and allied countries in conducting special operations and to enhance their capabilities in organizing and executing joint operations.
