Azerbaijan Deploys Amphibious Aircraft for Firefighting Efforts in Turkiye


BAKU—Following a directive from President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has dispatched a BE-200CS amphibious aircraft operated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations to aid Turkiye in its ongoing battle against severe forest fires, Trend reported citing the ministry’s press service.



According to Trend News Agency, the aircraft has safely arrived in Turkiye and touched down at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. It is set to begin firefighting operations promptly to help manage and eventually extinguish the raging fires across the region.
