Azerbaijan Deputy Minister Highlights Turkish Companies’ Role in Economic Growth

Baku: Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, emphasized the significant contributions of Turkish companies to Azerbaijan's economy during the 2nd Azerbaijan-Turkiye Investment Forum in Baku. Trkiye's role as a key trade and export partner is underscored by the Preferential Trade Agreement, which strengthens bilateral trade relations and facilitates mutual trade expansion.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bashirli highlighted that Turkish companies' activities in sectors such as electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, food industry, construction materials, agriculture, and cotton processing demonstrate confidence in Azerbaijan's business environment. These investments are instrumental in job creation and supporting export-oriented production. Turkish investors are notably active in the restoration and reconstruction of the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions.

Bashirli's remarks at the forum reflect the growing economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, with Turkish companies playing a pivotal role in advancing Azerbaijan's economic landscape.
