HORADIZ — The State Border Service of Azerbaijan has detained three Afghan citizens who were attempting to illegally cross from Iran into Azerbaijan, reinforcing the nation's efforts against illegal migration.

According to Azeri-Press Agency, on August 27 at 18:10, the individuals identified as Samadi Safi Abdurrahman, Sattari Sifar Khan, and Vakili Muhb Seyfulla were apprehended in the service area of the Horadiz border detachment. The trio was caught during a routine border protection operation aimed at securing the state's borders and curbing illegal crossings. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
