Baku: An individual was detained in Azerbaijan following an attempt to illegally cross the border by concealing himself in a cargo train headed for Russia. This incident highlights ongoing issues with unauthorized border crossings in the region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan successfully thwarted the border crossing attempt. Tamindar Anvarovich Lumanov, a resident of the Khachmaz district and born in 1988, was identified and detained due to the diligence of the State Border Service employees.
