Accra:Foreign nationals have been detained for attempting to illegally cross the country's state border, as reported by the Press Center of the State Border Service.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, operational and military measures were conducted in the Zagatala border detachment area, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian citizen who was trying to cross the border from Georgia into Azerbaijan.

Additionally, in the service area of the Shamkir border detachment, three citizens of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and two citizens of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria were apprehended while attempting to cross from Azerbaijan into Georgia.

Authorities are continuing operational and investigative measures regarding these incidents.
