Accra:The First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, held a meeting with a NATO delegation during the 3rd workshop of the Partner Capacity Coherence Initiative - 2026 and the Self-Evaluation Level 1 exercise.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Colonel General Valiyev underscored the importance of Azerbaijan-NATO relations, particularly in the training of professional servicemen. He emphasized the necessity of further developing these ties.

The meeting also highlighted NATO's pivotal role in maintaining global peace and security. It stressed the importance of mutual visits, meetings, exercises, and courses in various formats to strengthen cooperation.

Both parties discussed the prospects of enhancing cooperation in military education and other areas of mutual interest.
