Baku: Azerbaijan has sent another shipment of humanitarian aid, consisting of electrical equipment, to Ukraine.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this initiative follows an order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on August 11, 2025. The shipment was dispatched from the Sumgayit Technologies Park by the Ministry of Energy.
The consignment includes nearly 90 thousand meters of electrical cables and wires, along with 25 generators and 7 sets of transformers. This equipment aims to support the restoration of a stable electricity supply to areas impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The shipment has been transported as a convoy of 10 trucks. It is reported that additional aid, valued at a total of 2 million US dollars, is expected to be sent in the coming days.
Azerbaijan has a history of providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine, particularly focused on electricity supply. In light of the ongoing war, the cumulative value of Azerbaijan’s humanitarian support to Ukraine, which includes efforts for reconstruction and restoration, has now exceeded $44 million.
