Washington: At a critical moment in geopolitical developments, the signing of a peace document between President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in the White House, with the participation of U.S. President Donald Trump, marks a significant turning point in the history of a decades-long conflict.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the South Caucasus, a vital region at the intersection of energy and influence spheres involving Russia, Europe, Iran, and Trkiye, has been reshaped by an agreement dubbed the ‘Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.’ This agreement not only ceases the confrontation between the parties but also offers exceptional economic and security opportunities for the U.S. to expand its strategic influence in the South Caucasus. The energy-rich region has previously been unable to realize its potential due to the prolonged conflict.
