Paris: Azerbaijan has been unanimously elected as the Vice Chair of the Bureau at the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, which took place at UNESCO Headquarters from February 17 to 20. The election took place on the final day of the session, February 20.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan to UNESCO participated in the session, where Bureau members for the Committee's 20th session were elected. Azerbaijan's election to this significant position highlights the country's recognized contributions to the protection and promotion of cultural diversity, as well as its commitment to the goals and principles of the related UNESCO convention.
