Azerbaijan Engages in Bilateral Talks at UN Public Service Forum in Georgia

Tbilisi: A delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited Tbilisi, Georgia, to participate in the United Nations Public Service Forum. The Chairman began his visit by paying tribute at a monument dedicated to National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ulvi Mehdiyev attended the forum's opening ceremony, which saw participation from Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua, and high-level officials from multiple countries. The forum, themed "Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Participation, and Inclusion," served as a platform for discussions on public service advancements.

On the sidelines of the forum, Ulvi Mehdiyev engaged in bilateral meetings with officials from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Minister of Justice of Georgia. He presented the activities and achievements of Azerbaijan's ASAN Khidmat, which garnered interest from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, with both countries expressing intentions to implement the model within their own public service sectors.

Additionally, during his meeting with the Georgian Minister of Justice, Mehdiyev congratulated him on the successful organization of the forum. The discussions also included exchanges on subjects of mutual interest between the participating nations.

The visit by the Chairman of the State Agency to Georgia is ongoing, with further engagements expected to enhance Azerbaijan's role in international public service innovation.
