Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has issued an Order to establish an Organizing Committee aimed at transforming the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum into a sustainable international platform. This initiative follows the successful outcomes and partnerships fostered during the previous forum.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the presidential Order details the composition of the Organizing Committee, which will oversee the regular hosting of the Forum. Samir Sharifov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been appointed as the Chair of the Committee. The Minister of Economy will serve as the Deputy Chair. Other notable members include ministers from various sectors such as Foreign Affairs, Finance, Culture, Internal Affairs, and representatives from key state agencies and companies.
The Organizing Committee's primary responsibilities include organizing the second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, scheduled for September 25-26. The Committee is also tasked with preparing and coordinating the implementation of the annual plan of activities related to the Forum, as well as addressing other organizational and operational issues.
In addition, the Ministry of Economy has been designated to serve as the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee. The Cabinet of Ministers has been directed to resolve any issues that may arise from the implementation of this Order.
