Baku: Children's right to liberty and personal inviolability is being expanded, APA reports. This is reflected in the new draft Law 'On the Rights of the Child' discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women and Children's Affairs.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft law stipulates that except for cases outlined by law, a child may not be monitored or subjected to video or photo recording, audio recording, or other similar actions. The state guarantees the right of children to maintain the confidentiality of information transmitted via correspondence, telephone conversations, post, telegraph, and other means of communication, except for cases specified by law.
The scope of personal data relating to children, along with the conditions for its collection, processing, transmission, use, and protection, will be determined by law.
