San sebasti¡n: Azada Huseynova, Deputy Chairperson of Azerbaijan's State Tourism Agency, met with Joxe Mari Aizega, General Director of the Basque Culinary Center, in the Spanish city of San Sebasti¡n. The discussion focused on the exchange of expertise with the Basque Culinary Center, recognized as the first academic platform in Europe specializing in gastronomy and culinary arts. The meeting emphasized practical teaching methodologies relevant to all areas of gastronomy.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azada Huseynova also engaged in discussions with Juan Carlos Torres, Vice President of the GaultandMillau International, a prestigious gastronomic guide and ranking system established in France. Their talks revolved around the appeal of gastrotourism, the importance of maintaining quality standards, the professional development within the industry, and the global presentation of national cuisine.
Additionally, Huseynova met with Shaikha Al Nowais, UN Tourism Secretary-General, where they explored topics such as gastrotourism, Silk Way tourism, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.
