Azerbaijan Experiences Significant Rise in Foreign Investments in Non-Oil Sector

Baku: Azerbaijan has witnessed a substantial increase in the volume of foreign investments directed towards its non-oil and gas sector in the first quarter of 2025. Foreign investments in this sector reached AZN 312.8 million during the period from January to March, as reported by the State Statistics Committee.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 2.9-fold increase compared to the same period last year. The rise in investments underscores a growing interest in the diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy beyond its traditional oil and gas sectors.

Additionally, during the first quarter of this year, the total investments directed towards the main capital in Azerbaijan, funded by foreign countries and international organizations, amounted to AZN 948.7 million. This demonstrates a broader investment trend in the country, further indicating a shift towards more varied economic activities.
