Baku: The dimensions of the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan raised at State Flag Square have been reverified and certified as a new record, the Seaside Boulevard Administration said in a statement, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, measurements conducted by a Guinness World Records adjudicator and international experts have led to the flag at the Square being officially registered in the Guinness World Records. The flag boasts a width of 40 meters and a length of 80 meters, surpassing its previous recorded dimensions from November 2024, which were 36 meters in width and 72 meters in length.

The flagpole supporting the record-setting flag stands at a height of 201.191 meters. It features a 5.7-meter diameter at the pedestal and an approximate weight of 1,500 tons, contributing to its impressive engineering and structural significance.
