Turkish National Defense University Delegation Visits Azerbaijan to Strengthen Military Ties

Baku: A delegation led by Professor Serdar Salman, Vice-Rector of the Turkish National Defense University, is visiting Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense informed APA. The delegation’s itinerary included paying respects at the graves of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev and renowned ophthalmologist Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, as well as visiting the Alley of Martyrs and the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery, where they laid wreaths and flowers.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the visit proceeded with an event at the War Games Center of the Azerbaijan National Defense University. Major General Arif Hasanov welcomed the delegation on behalf of the university’s leadership, underscoring the robust Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation founded on friendly, fraternal, and allied relations. He highlighted the alliance’s contributions to enhancing military education in both countries and the positive outcomes of the military education reforms within the Azerbaijan Army.

Professor Salman expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and underscored the significance of mutual visits for experience exchange. A briefing during the event covered the history of the National Defense University, its educational institutions, and their educational and scientific activities.
