Baku: A ceremony was held to hand over the World Urban Forum (WUF) from Azerbaijan to Mexico, APA reports. The event marked the conclusion of the current session of the forum, which saw Azerbaijan passing on its responsibilities to the next host nation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, UN-Habitat Executive Director Anacl¡udia Rossbach and WUF13 National Coordinator, Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev, officially handed over the Forum's symbol to the Mexican side. This symbolic transfer signifies the commencement of preparations for the upcoming session.

The next session of the World Urban Forum (WUF14) is scheduled to be held in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. The event will continue the tradition of discussing urban development and planning issues on a global scale, bringing together leaders and experts from around the world.
