OSH—Azerbaijan took center stage at the recent “South Expo 2024” and “Kyrgyzstan – On the Great Silk Road” international exhibition-fair, showcasing its tourism offerings as a part of the broader engagement among Turkic States.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the 8th edition of the South Expo and the 4th International Exhibition-Fair in Osh attracted participants from the Organization of Turkic States. Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency utilized this platform to highlight the country’s scenic attractions and cultural heritage with a national stand designed to captivate the interest of international visitors and stakeholders. During a plenary session titled “Tourism on the Great Silk Road,” part of the associated investment forum, the Azerbaijani delegation delivered a detailed presentation on the nation’s tourism sector, emphasizing its integral role along the historic Silk Road and its appeal in the contemporary travel landscape.
This participation underscores Azerbaijan’s strategic efforts to enhance its visibility and attract tourists from around the globe, leveraging historical ties and regional cooperation.
