Azerbaijan Hosts Familiarization Trip for Kazakh and Uzbek Tourism Companies

Baku: The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) recently organized a familiarization trip for representatives of 10 tourism companies from Kazakhstan and 9 tourism companies from Uzbekistan, which took place from July 21 to 25. The initiative aimed to showcase Azerbaijan's tourism offerings and foster business relationships with neighboring countries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the participants were engaged in comprehensive site inspections of hotels and explored the country's tourism infrastructure. The tour included an introduction to Azerbaijan's hospitality services, beach tourism opportunities along the Caspian coast, and an exploration of the nation's cultural heritage and gastronomy.

The itinerary also featured visits to notable tourism attractions in Baku and attendance at the DreamFest music festival. This event, part of Azerbaijan's international events calendar, provided the participants with insights into the country's event tourism potential.

A significant highlight of the trip was a B2B networking event that facilitated connections between tourism industry representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and nearly 80 local destination management companies (DMCs) and hotels. This platform allowed for discussions on new cooperation opportunities, business connections, and expanded partnership prospects.

The initiative successfully fostered direct business engagement among the tourism sectors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, contributing to strengthened tourism cooperation and the development of long-term partnerships.
