Azerbaijan Hosts Major Defense and Security Exhibitions

Baku:President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ADEX 2026 - the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition and Securex Caspian - the 15th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment at the Baku Expo Center.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exhibitions serve as significant platforms for showcasing military and security technologies. The ADEX 2026 event is supported by the Ministry of Defense Industry and organized by Caspian Event Organisers, attracting a record number of participating companies. This year, an additional pavilion has been opened to accommodate the increase, including a national exposition for the first time.

ADEX 2026 has attracted 59 foreign delegations from 39 countries, with Turkey being the most represented nation. The exhibition also marks the debut participation of several prestigious companies from the United States. For the first time, official merchandise and a dedicated newspaper, 'ADEX News,' are being introduced.

The Securex Caspian exhibition highlights equipment for law enforcement and rescue operations, featuring integrated security systems and advanced technological solutions. In total, 277 companies from 30 countries are participating, with national pavilions from 14 countries.

President Aliyev and the First Lady explored various stands, including those of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, showcasing artillery systems and aviation equipment. The exhibitions also feature international companies such as Turkey's Baykar and Aselsan, the UAE's EDGE Group, and Israel's Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, among others.

Other notable participants include Italy's Leonardo, China's AVIC and NORINCO, and the UK's BAE Systems. The event provides a platform for these companies to display cutting-edge defense technologies and foster international cooperation.
