Helsinki: The Azerbaijan House operating in the Finnish capital of Helsinki hosted an introductory event highlighting the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event was attended by several notable figures, including Pia Halttunen, a specialist in national projects, Jaana S¤vel, who focuses on international projects, and Jatta Lehtonen, the communication specialist at the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), along with other guests.
During the event, attendees were provided with an overview of Azerbaijan's culture and history, complemented by a presentation on the mission and ongoing activities of the Azerbaijan House in Finland. The meeting underscored the global mission of Azerbaijan Houses, which serve as essential hubs for the diaspora, aiming to unite the Azerbaijani community worldwide while promoting the country's culture, language, and traditions internationally.
Additionally, the event offered insights into the Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora's efforts to support the diaspora. Guests were informed about various projects focused on organizing Azerbaijani communities abroad and supporting diaspora organizations.
The event concluded with an exchange of views on future cooperation opportunities and the development of joint initiatives.
