Azerbaijan Introduces Fines for Electronic Cigarette Trade

Baku: Fines are being introduced for the import, export, production, wholesale and retail sale, as well as storage for sale of electronic cigarettes and their components. This development is part of amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, starting April 1, the goods that are the direct subject of the administrative offense - electronic cigarettes and their components - will be confiscated. Fines will be imposed on individuals, officials, and legal entities involved in these activities. Individuals will face fines ranging from 350 to 500 manats, officials from 1,650 to 2,200 manats, and legal entities from 4,000 to 5,000 manats.
