Baku: Members of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis working group on interparliamentary relations with Ireland recently held an online meeting with the friendship group members from the Irish Parliament. The meeting marked a significant step in the evolving diplomatic ties between the two nations.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Erkin Gadirli, head of the Milli Majlis working group, emphasized the crucial role these working groups play in fostering cooperation between legislative bodies. He expressed confidence that the working group within Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis would significantly contribute to the development of bilateral ties. Gadirli also highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits and regular meetings to further strengthen the relations between Azerbaijan and Ireland.
Tony McCormack, Convenor of the Friends of Azerbaijan Group Houses of the Oireachtas, reiterated the evolving nature of bilateral relations and noted the importance of reciprocal meetings and interparliamentary cooperation in advancing these ties.
Throughout the meeting, participants shared their views on the prospects for interparliamentary relations and cooperation in various fields, while also addressing issues of mutual interest.
