BAKU: High-ranking officials from the Azerbaijani and Italian armed forces have held staff talks in Baku as part of a bilateral cooperation plan for 2024, focusing on enhancing military relations and ensuring global peace. According to Trend News Agency, the meeting, which was a result of the cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Staff of the Italian Republic, was aimed at discussing the current state and future prospects of military relations between the two countries. The International Military Cooperation Department of the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry highlighted the positive impact of the strengthened ties on the military domain and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in maintaining regional and international security. Participants engaged in a detailed exchange of views and analyzed activities in military technical and educational sectors. The talks concluded with the signing of protocols and a session answering mutual q uestions of interest.
