Geneva: Azerbaijan's State Service for Special Communication and Information Security participated in the UN's first Global Dialogue on AI Governance, emphasizing the intersection of technological advancement and sustainable development. The event, held on July 6-7 in Geneva, Switzerland, was initiated by the United Nations with backing from the International Telecommunication Union and other global partners.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres addressed the event, highlighting the necessity for human oversight in AI's future trajectory. He warned of the potential risks associated with rapid AI advancements, such as deepening inequalities and eroding trust, and stressed the importance of establishing governance frameworks to ensure AI benefits all of humanity.

The dialogue's sessions concentrated on several critical areas, including AI system security, cybersecurity, disinformation combat, AI utilization in public administration, and developing a reliable AI ecosystem. Azerbaijan's delegation underscored the significance of their participation in promoting AI's safe application, examining international AI governance practices, enhancing cybersecurity, and fostering digital resilience. They also focused on monitoring advanced approaches and reinforcing international cooperation in these domains.
