Azerbaijan Joins OECD’s International Network on Financial Education as Full Member

Baku: Azerbaijan has officially become a full member of the International Network on Financial Education (OECD-INFE), as reported by APA-Economics, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA). This membership allows the Central Bank to engage in various working groups focusing on ‘Financial Literacy Standards: Implementation and Evaluation,’ ‘Digital Financial Literacy,’ and ‘Financial Literacy and Sustainable Finance.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this membership grants the Central Bank the ability to contribute to the development of internationally prepared policy documents and access an extensive database of existing policy documents. This will enable the Central Bank to stay informed about advanced practices and approaches in financial education.

The developments are expected to enhance the Central Bank’s capability to implement financial literacy programs that adhere to international standards. It will ensure data accessibility and expand financial inclusion, aligning with the goals of the OECD-INFE. The network serves as a platform for regulators and participants worldwide to collaborate on financial education, conduct policy analysis, and develop policy tools.
