Baku: A criminal case has been launched following an explosion at the ‘Azerbaijanfilm’ studio, as reported by APA, citing the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The incident, which included a subsequent fire, took place on June 26 at approximately 11:00 PM at the ‘Azerbaijanfilm’ studio named after Jafar Jabbarli, situated at 1 Moskva Avenue in the Yasamal district of Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Prosecutor General’s Office is conducting an investigation into the incident. Based on the materials collected, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 314.2, which pertains to negligence resulting in death or severe consequences, and 224, concerning the abuse of regulations related to the handling of explosive and inflammable substances and pyrotechnic products, of the Criminal Code. The preliminary investigation has been tasked to the Department of Criminalistics and Information Technology of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The investigation is still in progress, and authorities have assured that further information will be made available to the public as the case develops.
