Azerbaijan’s ANAMA Discovers Over 600 Explosive Devices in Liberated Territories

Baku: Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has announced the discovery of 103 landmines and 524 unexploded ordnance (UXOs) in the liberated territories. This update was part of their weekly operations report covering the period from June 23 to June 29, 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, ANAMA’s recent operations in the regions of Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan resulted in the identification and clearance of 85 anti-personnel mines and 18 anti-tank mines. The operations also involved the removal of 524 UXOs.

ANAMA’s efforts have cleared approximately 1,350.8 hectares of land from explosive threats, contributing to the safety and accessibility of these regions. The agency continues to carry out demining operations to facilitate the safe return of displaced residents and support reconstruction efforts in the affected areas.
