Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree to establish a “Digital Public Finance” information system aimed at enhancing the management of state finances, APA reports. This initiative is designed to ensure the efficient handling of activities associated with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It covers various financial aspects including the state budget, taxes, customs, state duties, dividends, and other budget revenues from state-owned legal entities and public legal entities established on behalf of the state. The system will also address audit, accounting of both state financial and non-financial assets, public financial control, state treasury, public debt, and financial liabilities.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with implementing necessary measures within three months, based on proposals from the Ministry of Finance. This includes facilitating the electronic exchange of financial documents among state bodies, state-owned legal entities receiving state budget funds, public legal entities, and other relevant organizations. The decree mandates addressing any additional issues that arise in the process of establishing this system.
