Baku: Azerbaijan has announced the commencement of a free flu vaccination campaign starting from October 8, 2025. This initiative is a response to the anticipated increase in acute respiratory viral infections, including influenza, due to the cold weather conditions during the autumn-winter season.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Ministry of Health has procured safe and high-quality influenza vaccines manufactured by the French company Sanofi Pasteur. This effort is part of a broader strategy to enhance preventive and anti-epidemic measures among the population. The vaccination campaign aligns with the directive issued by Minister of Health Teymur Musayev.
The campaign prioritizes vaccinations for healthcare workers, pregnant women, and individuals over six months old with chronic respiratory conditions. The influenza vaccination will be available free of charge at state medical institutions offering outpatient and polyclinic services, accessible to citizens at their place of residence or work.
