Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan became the world’s largest gold buyer again by purchasing approximately 8 tons of gold in August, APA reports, citing the World Gold Council.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the country’s gold reserves increased by 32 tons in 2025, reaching a total of 316 tons. In August alone, Kazakhstan purchased more than half of the total 15 tons of gold bought globally.

The countries that sold gold in August were Russia, which sold 3 tons, and Indonesia, which sold 2 tons.
