Azerbaijan Naval Forces Celebrate Graduation of Underwater Assault Navy Special Force Course

Baku: A graduation ceremony for the next Underwater Assault Navy Special Force course was held at one of the military units of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC. The event commenced with a visit to the martyrs’ memorial complex located within the military unit, where flowers were laid and respects paid to their memory.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ceremony included a tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, which was observed with a minute of silence. This was followed by the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, accompanied by a military orchestra.

Rear Admiral Shahin Mammadov, the Commander of the Naval Forces, addressed the attendees, congratulating the servicemen on their successful completion of the course. He expressed gratitude to the staff for their high-level organization and execution of the courses, which featured professional instructors from both the Azerbaijani and Turkish Armies.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of honorary certificates, badges, and valuable gifts to the Azerbaijani and Turkish instructors, as well as the graduates who successfully completed the course. The top graduate marked the occasion by attaching an emblem to the symbolic stump.
