Nizami Ganjavi International Center Partners with UNAOC for 11th Global Forum

Riyadh: The Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) participated as one of the official partners of the 11th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC). The forum took place under the theme ‘UNAOC: Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity – Advancing a New Era of Mutual Respect and Understanding in a Multipolar World’ on December 14-15 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, NGIC members engaged in panel discussions that addressed a range of topics including coexistence, peace promotion through interreligious and intercultural dialogue, terrorism, urban development, and the challenges posed by disinformation in the digital age. The forum also examined the impact of artificial intelligence.

The NGIC Secretary-General conducted bilateral meetings with several officials, including Rebeca Grynspan, Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Miguel Angel Moratinos, UNAOC High Representative, and Binali Yildirim, former Prime Minister of Trkiye and NGIC member. These discussions centered around the preparations for the forthcoming 13th Global Baku Forum scheduled for 2026.

The NGIC delegation also met with Prince Turki AlFaisal Al Saud, Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies. Prince Turki AlFaisal is recognized as the Founder and Trustee of the King Faisal Foundation, as well as the Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies.
