Azerbaijan Oil Production Reaches 14 Million Tons in First Half of the Year

Baku: Azerbaijan produced approximately 14 million tons of oil this year, with 13.7 million tons of oil, including condensate, being produced in the first half of the year, as reported by the Ministry of Energy to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the production figures reveal that 8 million tons were contributed by the “Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli” field, while 1.9 million tons of condensate came from the “Shah Deniz” field, and 0.3 million tons of condensate from the “Absheron” field. The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) accounted for 3.5 million tons of oil production, which includes condensate.

Further details indicate that during this period, 11.6 million tons of oil, including condensate, were transported for export. Of this exported amount, 9.9 million tons were attributed to consortia, 1.4 million tons to SOCAR, and 0.3 million tons to the “Absheron” field.
