Baku: Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has reported its weekly findings from operations conducted in the country’s liberated territories.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, ANAMA’s recent operations have resulted in the discovery of 65 anti-personnel mines, 16 anti-tank mines, and 240 unexploded ordnance (UXOs) across several regions, including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Khojaly, Khankandi, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan.
The agency further reported that a total of 1,639.6 hectares of land have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, reflecting ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of these areas. The clearance operations are part of a broader initiative to make the territories safe for habitation and development.
