Baku: The evacuation of foreign nationals from Iran through the "Astara" state border checkpoint is actively continuing, as Azerbaijan facilitates the safe transition of individuals from several countries.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the recent evacuation efforts included the safe passage of 9 Chinese and 6 Indian citizens, who were evacuated between 10:00 and 12:00 local time. Earlier, between midnight and 10:00 local time, an Azerbaijani citizen and three Norwegian diplomatic representatives were also evacuated from Iran.
The evacuation process involved comprehensive checks and procedures at the border crossing to ensure a secure transition for all evacuees. The operations are being conducted under the supervision of relevant Azerbaijani state institutions, ensuring adherence to necessary protocols and safety measures.
