270 Thousand Tourists Visit Nature Reserves of Kyrgyzstan in 2025

Bishkek: Kyrgyzstan's nature reserves showed record results in 2025, Kabar reported citing the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the volume of funds received from the ecotourism sector reached 37.7 million soms, marking an increase of 105 percent, or 19.3 million soms, compared to the previous year.

During the year, a total of 271,254 people visited state reserves and nature parks, reflecting a 24 percent increase in interest in ecological routes. The majority of these visitors were domestic tourists, although the number of tourists from both CIS and non-CIS countries is growing steadily.

The sharp increase in revenue has been attributed to the optimization of tariff policies and improvements in the payment collection system. In addition to the growth in tourism, efforts to strengthen environmental protection control have been intensified. Throughout the year, 139 violations were identified, resulting in 1.1 million soms in damage to nature. Notably, 70% of these violations were related to damage to the flora. The process of collecting fines is ongoing through judicial and administrative procedures.
