Beijing: Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, met with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Ahmed Metani, as well as the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Omar Barakat Al Nahar, for discussions on diplomatic relations and regional cooperation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova congratulated Ambassador Ahmed Metani on his recent appointment and extended her best wishes for his diplomatic mission. Ambassador Metani expressed his gratitude towards Azerbaijan for its consistent support to the Palestinian people and acknowledged the nation’s efforts in conflict resolution. He also shared positive reflections from his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

In her meeting with Jordanian Ambassador Omar Barakat Al Nahar, Gafarova discussed the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. She emphasized the significance of collaborative efforts between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Jordan within international organizations. Ambassador Al Nahar expressed satisfaction with his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan and reiterated his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
