Tbilisi:Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency, attended the 9th World Forum on Energy Regulation, which took place in Tbilisi from September 21 to 24.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the forum was organized by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission with the support of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators. The event's theme, 'When Balance Is Achieved,' brought together leaders and representatives from energy regulatory bodies, prominent energy companies, regional associations, and academics from various countries.

The forum aimed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience while addressing emerging challenges in energy regulation. Participants explored innovative approaches and discussed future development directions in the field.

Key discussions at the event included topics such as innovation and energy transition, tools for effective regulation, the regulation of the fuel value chain, integration of regional energy markets, regulatory frameworks for infrastructure investment, system flexibility, consumer protection, and the decarbonization of non-electrifiable energy demand.
