Berlin:Senior officials from Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) engaged in discussions with prominent international transport and technology firms at the InnoTrans 2026 event. The state-owned railway operator is actively seeking to expand international partnerships and accelerate the digital transformation of its network.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, ADY's management met with representatives from Deutsche Bahn and Turkish State Railways to explore possibilities for deepening cooperation and exchanging expertise within the rail sector.

Additionally, the Azerbaijani delegation held talks with technology companies such as Siemens, Hitachi, and Tesmec, focusing on the application of emerging technologies in railway operations. Discussions covered the integration of artificial intelligence, digital traffic and dispatching centers, and other technology-driven approaches aimed at enhancing the efficiency and management of rail operations.

ADY representatives also participated in the Rail Leaders Summit, part of InnoTrans 2026, where industry leaders discussed global railway sector development and opportunities for international collaboration.

This year's InnoTrans, themed 'Mobility on a global scale - Shaping projects and growth opportunities,' emphasizes technologies that are shaping the future of transportation. This includes green technologies, hybrid locomotives, and energy-efficient railway operations.

InnoTrans, held biennially in Berlin, is one of the world's largest international transport technology exhibitions. It serves as a platform for railway companies and technology providers to showcase new rolling stock, infrastructure systems, digital technologies, and mobility solutions, while fostering opportunities for commercial partnerships and technology transfers.
