Azerbaijan Participates in International Emergency Planning Conference

Amman: Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations representative recently took part in the Initial Planning Conference for the Darb Al-Aman 7 exercise, held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This conference, conducted from September 15-17, 2026, was organized collectively by Jordan's National Center for Security and Crisis Management and NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Asmar Salamova, the First Deputy Head of the Ministry's Crisis Management Center, was part of a delegation representing various Azerbaijani state institutions. The conference's primary objective was to identify key areas and scenarios for the upcoming Darb Al-Aman 7 exercise, set to take place in 2027.

The event also focused on discussing the mechanisms for international cooperation and the coordination of joint response measures during emergencies. The participation of Azerbaijani representatives highlights the country's commitment to enhancing its crisis management capabilities and fostering international collaboration in emergency response.
