Baku: State services related to animal health in Azerbaijan, as well as the supply of veterinary drugs and the development of infrastructure for the processing and disposal of diseased animals, are planned to be developed, APA-Economics reports. This initiative is part of the 'State Program for 2026-2030 on the development of production and processing sectors of agricultural, fisheries and aquaculture products in the Republic of Azerbaijan'.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the program outlines plans for investigating animal diseases across the country, determining their areas of spread and risks, and analyzing the possibilities of improving access to veterinary services. It also includes organizing domestic production of veterinary drugs. The program envisions creating an information system to monitor animal diseases and their spread, preparing proposals for a digital vaccine tracking system, establishing a facility for local manufacturing of veterinary drugs, and creating state sanitary slaughtering and processing facilities for diseased animals.

During the 2026-2030 period, a digital system for monitoring animal diseases and tracking vaccines will be implemented, while access to veterinary services will be increased. The comprehensive approach aims to enhance the overall management of animal health services in Azerbaijan.
